Hi I'm Chad Samuelson

I grew up in Spokane, Washington. I'm serving in the Alpine German-Speaking Mission. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am a pianist, practicing many times every week. I drive R/C cars and love building robots. I love running, such as cross-country and track. I'm an Eagle Scout since thirteen. I love spending time with my Family and making others laugh. I have eight brothers and sisters in my Family. I like pushing my self in schooling such as doing 6 AP classes in my Junior and Senior year combined. I'm going on a mission to the Alpine German-Speaking Mission. I took 3 years of German in High School. I'm going to be attending BYU-Provo after my mission in the Fall of 2016. I want to major in Mechanical Engineering.

Why I am a Mormon

At two years old my Mom passed away in a car accident. A couple of years later my Dad got married to another LDS Mom who also had her husband pass away in a car accident. So they combined families and had two kids together. Though I didn't know my first mom very well I have often pondered on the afterlife and if I ever will see her again. I have prayed on this subject many times to Heavenly Father and I know now that there is and afterlife and I will get to see my mom again. I know this church is true. It is the same church Christ had on earth and was lost and is now restored once again on the earth through the Prophet Joseph Smith. I know the priesthood Christ and his Apostles held is restored and the our Prophets, Seers and Revelators are true prophets called of God. I know the Book of Mormon is true, along with the Bible. The Book of Mormon is a true record of the people who lived in the Americas around Christ's time. I know Families can be together forever, in this life and afterwards, through being sealed together in Temple of the Lord. I say these things in Christ's name, Amen.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through giving the Sacrament, as Jesus Christ did in his time, to the Elderly people in my Church that weren't able to attend Church that Sunday. I live my faith by showing my love to all people through service and helping anyone through hard times that they may be enduring. I am kind to anyone I come in contact with just as the Savior did. I participate in community service opportunities. I'm an Eagle Scout and I love helping both non-LDS and LDS boys in earning their Eagle Scout Merit Badge. On Sundays I don't work and instead I spend time with Family and attend Church.

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

Chad Samuelson
A Mormon lifestyle is actually a pretty normal lifestyle. Yes we do try and live Christ like lives in being kind/cheerful and serving those we meet, but we don't live our lives in ways that are unpleasing to Heavenly Father. We live lives that follow his commandments. We still make mistakes just like everyone else on earth, we just get ourselves back up and continue to strive towards living a life pleasing to Heavenly Father. Show more Show less
