Hi I'm Josh

I grew up in South Salt Lake. I play the guitar and I love to snowboard. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a pretty normal dude. During high school I was a part of the swim team, as well as the Madrigals choir group. I love the outdoors. Backpacking, mountain-biking, camping... All of which are great. I also really enjoy snowboarding in the winter time in Utah's canyons. Music is another big part of my life. I started playing the guitar at a really young age, and since then I have developed a strong relationship with music. I played in a rock band with some friends from high school for a while and had great experiences writing and recording music with them. I attended a year of college at a university, after which I decided I would serve a mission. I received my call to Argentina and am currently preparing and learning how to teach while here in the MTC.

Why I am a Mormon

If I were to think about why I decided to be a Mormon a few years ago, I might have said it was because my parents brought me to church every Sunday, and because they wanted me to be a member. But I have come to realize that I am a Mormon because this church contains all of the truth. There are many demands that this church has for its members. Many commandments and guidelines that we are given, which can be difficult to follow. But by living within these rules is what brings us the most happiness. Nothing else can bring us the same amount of joy. Because of the Gospel, I know that I can live again after this life with my family. I decided that because I love this Gospel, I want to share it with others, so I decided to serve a mission. I am certain that by expressing what I know to be true to others, they will want to know for themselves that being a Mormon is the way.

How I live my faith

I attend church every Sunday. I grew up always going to church with my family, and as such was born always having the Gospel as a part of my life. I was given many opportunities to serve in my ward, to help some of the young men of my age to try and come to church with me, to help them see and learn about what I believe. I also had the opportunity to teach the youth for a few months in Sunday School, which proved to be a great learning experience for me.
