Hi I'm Lisa

Grew up in Ogden, UT. Have six kids. I am a stay at home mom helping my husband with his business. I am a mormon.

About Me

I am a stay-at-home mom to six kids which is rewarding and can be very difficult at times. My husband owns his own business and I help him with that. Our oldest is 15. From there is goes 13, 11,11,7,7. Only the seven year olds are twins. The elven year olds are 5 months apart. We adopted our niece from foster care 2 years ago and so she and the other 11 year old are close in age. Sometimes it is like having two sets of twins. I love playing the piano, reading, shopping (when money allows) and going on vacations. As a family we like to vacation, camp, have Friday movie night, go to the movies, and most anything outdoors.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the LDS church. I didn't really gain my own testimony until I was about 19. I believed in a lot of what was taught and tried to live by it but didn't really know for myself until I started really reading and studying the Book of Mormon. I have had a few really spiritual experiences that have strengthened my testimony and helped me to know that Christ lives and that the Book of Mormon is true. When I was a teenager I became inactive and took a path that led to some heartache and disappointment. When I was 19 I really started studying and praying often. This is when I gained strength and knowledge. I am Mormon because I know how it feels to live a life in a way that does not bring happiness. I have experienced both sides and I choose to be happy. Being a Mormon guides me to that happiness.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending my meetings on Sunday. I play the organ in our sacrament meeting which is our main meeting where we are all together as a ward family. I am a visiting teacher and visit with 4 different members in our ward at least once a month to share a gospel message and to find out how each of them are doing or if they need any help.
