Hi I'm Rebecca

I consider the positions of wife, mom, and grandma to be the greatest accomplishments of my life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to spend time with my family playing games, sharing a meal, or just visiting. Recently I've taken up quilting, which I have found to be therapeutic. With this hobby, I've discovered that I'm a fabric snob and junkie. I can't have enough beautiful fabrics! I've always loved reading, especially historic novels. I would love to travel, but until that time comes, I'm satisfied to learn about countries and their cultures through reading. Music has always been a very important part of my life. I grew up in a family that appreciates music. My dad had a beautiful tenor voice, and to this day when I hear a beautiful tenor sing, it melts my heart. Singing brings me great joy. I belong to a singing group--we practice weekly for a couple of hours. We go to retirement homes to sing to the residents and I selfishly get a great satisfaction with this service.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into an LDS family. I'm one of 12 children in that family. My dad was one of 17 children. I have approximately 130 first cousins. Family has always been the focus of my happiness, and I've learned that living the gospel will allow me to be with my family forever. And that's all that matters to me.

How I live my faith

Being a mom, I've found that it's extremely important to show your children how to live what you believe. The best way to do that is by serving those around you. Often I've been called upon to bring in a meal or treat to someone in need. I always tried to make something special on those occasions and my children learned that special treats never stayed at home. A common question in our home was "Where is that treat going?"
