Hi I'm Hallie

I grew up and reside in Oregon. I am the oldest of five kids. I love photography. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have lived in Oregon my whole life and I love it!! I am the oldest of five kids-four here and one in heaven. I absolutely love every moment I have with my family. I wakeboard and swim and recently did cross country. I love water and sunshine and being active. I love to sing and dance and participate in a community show choir. In my free time I sing and dance and play the violin. As you can tell, I love music. Music is my passion-it lets me share my talents in ways that I could not do without it. Music bears one of the strongest testimonies I know.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon simply because it makes me happy. It allows me to know who I am, where I came from, and where I am going. It also teaches that families can be together forever-something I hold dear to my heart. When I was six, my youngest brother passed away. It was a tragic time for me and my family, but through the gospel of Jesus Christ, I know that I will be reunited with him someday and that families are forever. I also know that everything is in God's timing and He cannot, will not give us ANY trials that we cannot overcome. We are His children, and he loves us so much that he sent our brother, Jesus Christ, to atone for all the sins and transgressions of then world. Christ not only bore our sins in the Garden of Gethsemane, but also our pains, afflictions and trials. He knows what we are going through, because He already went through it.

How I live my faith

I love being Mormon!! As a high school student, I attend a early-morning class called seminary to strengthen my understanding of Jesus Christ and His teachings. In my community, I participate in service and helping those in need in my community.

What do Mormons believe about family?

As Mormons, we believe strongly in the principal of families. We were sent to Earth into families to help us learn and progress. Some of our happiest memories are with our family members, as well as our most painful heartaches when we experience a loss. However, like stated in Matthew 16:19 "whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven." Family members who choose to follow Jesus Christ and accept His Atonement can be together forever, through the same sealing power in the Bible that was restored to Joseph Smith. Show more Show less
