Hi I'm Alejandra Gonzalez Rodriguez

I am a 20 year old young woman who will be serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Ogden Utah. xx

About Me

I've been called to serve as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints! I've been assigned to labor in the Ogden Utah mission, spanish speaking. I am beyond excited for the opportunity I have to not only preach the gospel but also serve others. I am the oldest out of 2 siblings. I have a younger sister whom I love very much. My mom is a single parent and has taught me so much about life. I love to listen to music, read, do makeup, and write. I am very excited to start this new phase of my life. xx

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church. I have gone for my whole life. It wasn't until I was in 12th grade that I decided it was time that I obtained a testimony for myself. I am so grateful that even when I wasn't really active I had many sunday school teachers and visiting teachers who cared about me and always gave me the love that made made me feel comfortable in going back. My mom's example and testimony has also been a driven force in my life. It was after I read the Book of Mormon for the first time that I really knew the church was true. I have felt the difference in not going and in being very active. There is a peace that comes when you know you have the Holy Spirit with you. I have felt so many of God's tender mercies throughout all my life. I know he sent his Only Begotten Son to die for us, that his Atonement has made it possible that we, through repentance and faith on his name, can once again live with him. I also know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God and he saw our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and that through him the gospel was restored onto the earth. I know that Thomas S. Monson is our prophet today and that he was called by God to lead and guide the church. My life has never been easy but because of the gospel I know I am never alone. I know that when I feel like murmuring or that maybe my load is too heavy, Jesus Christ has already felt everything I am feeling, and because of his great sacrifice I never have to go through anything alone. Being a Mormon to me means hope, hope that it really does get better, hope that through a lot of work and faith I can once again live with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. xx

How I live my faith

I live my faith by example. I want to show others through my actions that Mormons are very misportrayed by the media. I hope that by serving my mission I am able, through service, show that to a lot of people. I want to share the joy and hope the gospel brings to my life everyday.
