Hi I'm Emily Brown

I'm a saxophone performance major. I was recently called to serve a mission in Thailand. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm currently in school as a music major. I plan to share the joy music brings with other people. It was kind of scary moving away from home at first, but my time at school has been the best time of my life. I really enjoy cooking, studying the Thai language, listening to music, hiking, swimming, camping, puppies and.... eating chocolate.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because nothing else in my life brings me happiness the way the gospel does. I've tried to use words to express how I feel about my Savior Jesus Christ but the only way to get it across is through the spirit. Nothing fills my heart the way His love does. I've searched long and hard for other sources of happiness and love, but there's only one source that keeps me continually full. It doesn't matter what's happening or not happening in my life I draw peace from the perfect love of Jesus Christ. This doesn't mean I'm never sad or frustrated, but as I rely on my Savior despair and fear leave my life. I love my Savior and I know that this is His true church.

How I live my faith

I love doing missionary work. I often times invite my friends to join me at church and meet with the missionaries. I also help plan activities at church and I visit girls from church during the week. I like to make them treats and offer them service. Last week my act of service was to set a girl from church up on a blind date... hopefully it goes well!
