Hi I'm Brandon

I grew up in Pennsylvania. Im an eagle scout and a high school graduate. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Brandon. I am currently a sophomore in college and am deferring to go on a mission. I enjoy just laying around the house relaxing and doing things that help relieve the stresses of everyday life. I always enjoy listening to music of any kind to help pass the time and am always up for a challenge when it comes to video games. I have progressed through the scouting program and am currently a proud eagle scout. While I was in high school, I played in my school's marching band and indoor percussion ensemble in the pit percussion section on the marimba and xylophone. I was also involved in chorus all throughout middle and high school. In my free time I like to ease my mind by playing piano. I like teaching myself how to play different songs from video games I have played in the past, as well as songs people tell me I should learn how to play.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always been a member of the LDS church along with my entire family. I always just went along with the things that I was being told and taught in my church meeting and at home because I didn't know anything different. Everything was just normal to me. Eventually, I began to personally fall away from the church through getting involved with different activities and associating with different people. This brought a lot of tension, frustration, anger, and sadness into my life because of the consequences of my actions. After having a rather large reality check one day, I realized how far I have fallen from the things I have been learning my entire life. Noticing this, I decided to put what I had learned to the test and to figure out if it was all really as true as everyone said it was. It did not happen over night, or in a short period of time at all, but eventually, I got my answer. I remember I sat down and prayed as sincerely as I knew how to know if these teachings were true, and because of the overwhelming feelings of joy, peace, comfort, and just overall serenity, there is no way I could deny that they were true. After that day, I have tried my personal hardest to live up to the things my parents and church leaders have taught me so that I can have the privilege of teaching my children the same things one day.

How I live my faith

I always strive to live my faith as well as I can through my actions. In my ward, I have fulfilled many callings, including age related leadership positions, and try to be faithful to the covenants I have made. I served in the scouting program as well as assistant pack leader for the cub scouts. In my ward, we have a lot of service projects to help out different members and community affiliated groups that I make an effort to attend. I also do my best to fulfill my home teaching responsibilities both while I'm at home and while I'm at college.
