Hi I'm Daniel James Dearden

I grew up in Ballarat. Love my family and hanging out with my bro's. I'm a friendly and funny guy. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up with the church but went inactive because of my mother for about 7 years. It wasn't until I was 13 that I got baptised after the help of the missionaries. I grew up in Ballarat and then moved to the Sunshine Coast. I did ballroom dancing when I was younger and play the guitar and I am learning the Irish tin whistle. I love romantic, comedy and action movies along with anime. I always go to anime conventions when I can and watch anime when I can. I love hanging out my friends and always enjoy the company of the women. I am quite relaxed when it comes to mostly everything, which can bad in a certain point of view. I love the church and the members in my ward. They are always loving and are always there when I need them. I want to be married to a lovely women, someone caring, kind, forgiving and has a great sense of humour. I want to be married in the temple so I may be with my eternal companion for time and all eternity. I love the support and comfort of the spirit and that is what I wish to share with all those who have not felt it. That is my reason for wanting to serve a mission. To bring happiness and love to the individuals and families of all those who I meet.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon mostly because I chose to. It all comes to a choice in the end and it can only be made by the individual. I can never remember the certain reason for going the church seeing I was young but I think it was because of the feeling I felt, the feeling of the Holy Ghost. It is a feeling like no other, a feeling of love, happiness, support and comfort and something I always wanted to feel. Later I found that the Holy Ghost is something given to us from our Heavenly Father, a gift. So I wanted to show my appreciation and love, which I do through living his commandments and continuing in faith as my life passes. It definitely hasn't been easy but with the help from our Heavenly Father I have found that it doesn't matter how tough something is or how you react to the experience because if you make a mistake you can always apologise and be forgiven. Another thing that I found is that Heavenly Fathers love is everlasting and is the same for every single person. I always try my best in the things I do and always forgive and forget the mistakes I have done, for I have repented and have learnt from them and have moved on as everyone needs to do. I love my Heavenly Father and I will never be embarrassed to share this message.

How I live my faith

I live my faith everyday by living the commandments and being an example. I always go to ward activities when I can and love the company and smiling faces of all those there. I love going visiting teaching, going out to those families that have been assigned to me and my companion. I haven't had many callings before but I always take my responsibility to my family as a calling, to share the teaching with my siblings and to be an example to them. I always want my family to be happy and try my best to make that so and it always pains me to see my family in an argument and also other families. I always try to reach a hand out to others in service, just simple services that can be done with my ward or individually. I always love the feeling that I get from doing service and the smile I leave as I finish.
