Hi I'm Kayla

I am 19 years old. Attending a local community college Now preparing to serve a mission and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a beautiful city just east of San Francisco. From an early age my parents always gave me the choice of what I chose to believe in. Though I was technically raised in the church, my family became inactive when I was 6 years old. From then on anything I did with the church was solely my choice. Through out all of my decisions my parents supported me in everything. At the age of 14 my older sister and I, through the help of a friend we decided to come back to church, to learn more about the gospel and learn how much The Lord truly does love us. This simple decision to attend church more regularly has blessed my life in so many ways its hard to explain and now with the support of my family and friends I am planning on serving The Lord in the Colorado Denver South Mission, Spanish speaking.

Why I am a Mormon

There are so many reasons why I LOVE being apart of the Mormon church. I have come to know how much we are truly loved by our Heavenly Father, that each and everyone of use have a divine plan here on earth. I have also come to know that we are NEVER truly alone. Having to attend church by myself, especially after my sister left for college, I came to personally know of the love He has for us. It was exemplified through the people in my ward, through my family , and my friends. They testified to me that I am a divine daughter of God and that he loves me. Though their example, I was able to gain my own testimony of the true church. Without their testimony's I don't know what kind of person I would be today because I know that through Christ all things are possible. I also know that our Heavenly Father only gives us the trials we can handle, that he wouldn't give us anything we cannot, and when we feel like we are just about to break we can always turn to out Heavenly Father and he will help us through anything. No matter what.

How I live my faith

In my home town, I now attend the Young Single Adults ward, where I am called as a ward missionary. I often go out with the full time missionaries serving in my ward and help them spread the message of the true Church.

What is faith?

Kayla
When one has faith in something, they are acting on a knowledge they know to be true but can not actually see. Having faith in something is to put all your trust into it. you have a firm belief that as you act on this faith and trust it, that your prayers will be answered, that you will be protected and blessed, and essentially that it will turn into something bigger than you could every imagine.
