Hi I'm Christopher Saunders

I grew up in Surprise, Arizona I am the 2nd youngest in a family of 7 I love hanging out with friends and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am a guy that loves to laugh and who values hanging out with friends. I have many hobbies like board and card games, PC Gaming (especially MMO's and RPG's), and Reading. I love being sociable and meeting new people. I value each day as much as the next and try to live to my full potential. In addition I try to keep busy and do so by spending time with my family and my close friends. Speaking of my family, I have four sisters, three of which are older then me and one of which is younger, aside from my wonderful parents these four individuals are currently the most important people in my life. I also am currently serving a mission in the New York Utica area and I can honestly say that doing so (at least at this current point in my life), is the single greatest decision that I have ever made in my life and it has also been the most fun experience of my life as well. In regards to education I plan to get my degree and training in Network Engineering after I return home from my mission. I have always, since I was a little kid had a fascination with anything that ran off of some sort of electrical power like computers and automobiles. Some people may think I am a nerd (and to be honest I probably am) but I enjoy life and always look forward to the next day.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church but never really liked, wanted and sometimes believed in what was being taught or illustrated. I also never had any desire to participate in any church activities or groups because I never really felt welcome especially after my lifelong friend left for Utah, so that left me wondering about the truthfulness of the gospel and trying to find out for myself rather then having a testimony that I could lean on. This led to some very serious contemplation about the gospel itself and the teachings and views of it. However, I can say without a doubt that the reason I am Mormon now is because I feel and know it's teachings are true, and that fact is entirely evident as I reflect on the many instances and trials I have been through. I know that it has taken me a long time but now I finally realize that everything that I have been through (the good and bad) was so I could become a stronger and more resilient person. I know that this Gospel is true and that everything that it teaches is only for our own benefit, I had to find this out for myself, as does everyone else and I urge them to do as such, I want to leave you with this testimony of mine and do so in the name of Jesus Christ amen

How I live my faith

Living my faith was never something that was a easy process and still to this day it is quite difficult to do so. However, growing up as a little kid and listening to all of the lessons that explain the things that we should do and the things we shouldn't I always knew what was expected of me. Because of this perceived pressure to perform (which was something that I created on my own) I often found that I viewed my efforts as a failure to meet that standard. I now realize that this is in stark contrast with the doctrine of the Church. I live my faith by trying as hard as I can, overcoming my trials as they are given to me and recognizing that I am imperfect. I know that everyone, myself included has trials in their own lives, and I recognize that fact and then strive to help others according to their needs. These are a few of the ways that I strive to live my faith and show unto others how wonderful the Gospel of Jesus Christ is.
