Hi I'm Adam

I enjoy building things. I love my wife and kids and I like to try to improve myself and I love Christ's gospel.

About Me

I am a remodeling contractor by trade and have learned a lot about myself while developing my business. I've learned that I enjoy challenges, hard work and striving to do better and better every day. I've had some rough times and am learning that the hard times are often the most important times to stay close to the Savior. I have a wonderful family that I love very much. I have a wife, and 5 kids. 4 of them are ours and the 5th is a teenager that we have permanent guardianship of. We love to hang out together when I'm not working to much! I especially enjoy sharing nature and the outdoors with my family though camping and hiking. I never expected or understood what life would be like as a parent. When I was younger I could has spouted 1500 words about all the things I like to do and all the places I love to go, but now, life is much simpler (I'm not sure that's the right word) It includes just a few things. Family, Christ's gospel, work. I try to love every minute of it and am very grateful for the life I have.

Why I am a Mormon

This is very simple for me. I choose to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for a few reasons. 1st, the Holy Ghost has spoken to my heart and let me know that the teachings in the church are true and good. 2nd, The more I learn about the church, the more I see that it is perfectly aligned with the teachings of Christ when he ministered on the earth. I believe that all good things come from God. Everything that the church teaches and what it encourages me to do with my life is good. When I obey the commandments and seek after Christ, not matter what is happening in my life, life is good. There is true peace found here, deep and resounding.

How I live my faith

The way I live my faith. First I try to be constantly aware of the teachings of Christ so I can better implement them into my life. I make mistakes every single day and unfortunately, I continue to struggle with a lot of the same things over and over. But I press on and always keep improvement as my goal. At church, I serve the young single adults ranging in age from 18-30. I hope to impact their lives by sharing my experiences and testimony of Christ. I believe that part of living the gospel is strengthening the family so I work hard to teach my children about faith, hope, prayer, service and all the other great things taught in the scriptures. I try to read the scriptures as often as I can. I also like to attend the temple where I can feel more strongly of God's love and renew my commitment to serve him.

What is the Law of Chastity?

Today, My wife and I gave our daughter "the talk". With my wife's encouragement, we approached the subject with a non traditional angle. While having our discussion, my eyes were opened and here is what I learned or relearned about what the law of chastity is. It means that we save the 1 most sacred and special things for those that 1 person we love and cherish the most. God has commanded that this person be the opposite gender and that we be married to them. Once married, we commit our whole heart and soul to this person and share this sacred gift (our bodies and the power to create life) with no one else. Show more Show less
