Hi I'm Randy

I am currently studying Business Finance, I speak English and Portuguese, I love Life and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up on a farm in Eastern Washington, where I learned the importance of work. This is where my love to be active came from, I love to play sports like, basketball, flag football, tennis, and softball. Two and a half years ago I married my lovely wife, we love to do things together. We spent the majority of our courtship on a tractor doing farm work. She grew up on a farm as well. We love to go camping, rollerskating, bike riding, on picnics, swimming, and traveling. I am now studying Business finance and looking to graduate soon. It is in college where I have developed a love of learning. I have really grown to love problem solving and working close with others.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I know that God Lives and that his Son lived and died for my sins and the sins of all mankind. I God has a plan for us, and families are the central to this plan. I know that He has called a prophet in this day and age his name is Thomas S. Monson. I know that we have the power and authority restored to this earth by President Joseph Smith. This power is the power and authority to act in God's name. It is through this authority that our marriages and families can be sealed together forever. This means that after this life families can live together forever. It is through the Spirit of God that these truths have been confirmed to me. If we want to know the truth about God and his work on the earth we need to ask Him. He will answer our prayers and confirm truth to our hearts through His Holy Spirit, just as he did for me.

How I live my faith

I continue to strengthen my relationship with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ by engaging in scripture study and personal prayer. I love to help others, this is something that I learned from my mother. My brothers and I spent many weekends growing up helping people from our community because my mom had volunteered us to help. To me, being charitable is one of the biggest ways that I feel I can contribute to society. I spent two years in Brazil serving people and teaching them of Christ and his Gospel and I credit this experience to the desire that I feel to always look for ways to help others. I am a bright and happy individual and it makes me sad when others are unhappy. So I like to find ways to cheer others up.

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

Heavenly Father created a plan for us (His children) and in this plan he created this earth for a few purposes, 1 is to allow us to come to earth to gain a physical body, and once we have this body we are allowed agency to chose for ourselves. We were place here to pass though a time of testing, we are given agency to choose between right and wrong. Through these choices we gain experience, and it is through experience that we become more like our Heavenly Father. Some experiences that Heavenly Father wants us to have is experiences with family. He sent us in families and wants us to return to His presence in families. This can only happen though obedience to this commandments. So the purpose of life is to follow Heavenly Father's Plan so that we can return to His presence after this life. Show more Show less
