Hi I'm Michele Reed

I have four children ages, 30, 28, 26 and 6. I am a stay-at-home mom, AGAIN. And, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married and have four children. I could be an empty nester right now but am so very blessed to be a stay-at-home mom. My husband and I adopted a beautiful Native American girl that we adore. She has blessed our home and family with so much love and happiness. We are learning about the Native American culture and are loving it! I love play groups with the younger moms and am so grateful that they accept this "grandma" as one of their own. I am a convert to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. More commonly known as the Mormons. I found the Gospel at the age of 18 and have been enjoying the teachings and my personal relationship with my Savior, Jesus Christ. My life is forever different than it could have been and where I was headed without the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I was attending a Pentecostal church when I was a teenager. I enjoyed the teachings and learning of Christ. I met a Mormon and asked questions. I was being taught doctrine in my current church about the Mormon church, and I had questions. I learned that the teachings that I was currently being taught were misguided and incorrect. The more I learned about the Mormon religion and the teachings of the Book of Mormon, the closer I felt to my Savior. There were no big secrets or strange beliefs, just the answers to questions I had since I was a young child. I also learned that God is a Heavenly Father with flesh and bones. He loves me and wants the best for me. I learned the plan of salvation and how it pertains to me. For the first time, I felt that I had a purpose here on earth. I am a daughter of a living Heavenly Father. He wants me to be the best I can and even if I make mistakes and sin, I can repent and be forgiven. Every day I want to be a better person and help others to be better as well.

How I live my faith

I am truly blessed by the love I feel from my Savior Jesus Christ. Wanting others to feel this love is a personal goal of mine. Currently, I am teaching my six year old daughter the meaning of service and unconditional love. When we see someone in need, we try to react quickly to help them. Whether it be someone that needs help with their grocery cart, pick up something they dropped or a friendly smile. Christ was the perfect example of love and service so helping others to feel this love, is one way I show my Savior that I appreciate his example and that I love Him.

What is being a Mormon like?

Michele Reed
Being a Mormon is not just a "Sunday" religion. I try to live it every day in all I do. We are encouraged to do service. This service is done not only to help other Mormons but also anyone that is in need. I have a commitment to help my fellow man and to also raise faithful and loving children. I love helping others because in doing so I can feel close to my Savior. For He is the perfect example of service and love. Show more Show less
