Hi I'm Sarah

I grew up in Utah, I'm 16 years old. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love reading really good, attention grabbing, books. I love to sing when nobody is around, and I like to pretend I am the main character in famous musicals and Disney movies. I love painting landscapes and doodling in my spare time. I have a passion for dancing.. I'm not the best at it but I love doing and watching it.. to me it is a story told without words. I love to cook and bake and pretend I am on cake boss or a famous chef on Food Network. And lastly, I love taking walks in nature, blogging, hiking, laughing till it hurts and listening to music. www.adayinthelifeofampd.blogspot.com

Why I am a Mormon

You might think I am a Mormon just because I was born into a Mormon family and I have been raised that way, that isn't true. Yes, I was born into a Mormon family, my dad converted when he was 17, my mom was a member her whole life, and yes I've been raised in these standards but that isn't the real reason I'm a Mormon. See, I can be a member of the church and not truly in my heart be a part of it, but in my heart, I HAVE decided to be a part of it, not just physically but mentally. I have decided that I am a member of this church because it makes me happy, it brings peace into my life, living the commandments brings me safety and keeps me away from imprisoning addictions or circumstances in life I would rather not be in. Reading the scriptures gives me answers to my prayers, and studying them guides and teaches me how to be better. People say life should have an instruction manual, AND IT DOES. This book that our church was founded upon is life's instruction manual, it teaches us from stories and examples that are.. pretty easy to understand. I LOVE the Book of Mormon and I am so grateful for it. I am so grateful for this gospel because it brings peace and comfort into my life and I never have to feel alone or unloved because there is ALWAYS someone there. I am a Mormon because nothing brings me greater joy.

How I live my faith

Almost every Sunday I dress up and I go to church with my family. We learn all about God, his plans for us and how we can progress and we hear others' testimonies. After church we have Sunday appropriate music playing softly and I work on my Personal Progress for Young Womens (A program for girls 12-18 to learn to apply gospel principles), read my scriptures and watch good Sunday movies. We have dinner as a family and usually we have family home evenings in the evening or the night after along with family prayer every morning and every night.
