Hi I'm Sarah

I grew up in Utah. I have been called to serve. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Utah. I am currently a Business major at a local University. Along with going to school, I am employed at a corporation that entails working with special needs women. I am the second child of seven, with one older brother and five younger siblings (one girl and four boys). My brother is currently serving his mission to the people of Uruguay and I will serving my own mission in the coming months to the lovely people of Texas. I was raised in the Gospel and am forever thankful for the examples that I grew up with--family, friends and community.

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptized into this Church when I was 8 years old. I have always loved the Church and how it has made me feel and being blessed with such wise and loving parents, family and church leaders, I had a testimony of the Gospel at a young age. Since then I have grown in my testimony and was converted to its teachings and to Christ my senior year of High School (I say this because I was not truly converted until then, although a member the entire time). It was then that I knew with everything in me that this Gospel is true and it has been restored onto the earth once again as the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I grow more and more grateful for my membership in this Church every day. I love it so much! This is not just my religion; this is my life. The Gospel--the Savior, my Father in Heaven and the Holy Spirit--is my life and I rely so heavily upon them to guide me. I am a Mormon because I know it, I live it and I love it.

How I live my faith

I am currently attending a Young Single Adults Ward and serving as a Visiting Teaching Coordinator. I love attending the Temple as often as I can. I strive every day to have His light shine in my countenance. I try to align my desires with His and accept His will in everything. All that I am or ever hope to be I owe to my Savior and I desire and try to live my life in accordance with that understanding.

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

Sarah
Learn as much as you can about Him! Read the scriptures, the testimonies and accounts of witnesses, apostles, prophets, etc. Read about His Son who is like unto Him; His ministry, His life and His purpose. I have found that prayer works the best for me. I have grown so close to my Father in Heaven through prayer--talk with Him about anything and everything. Ask Him for guidance, ask Him to help you to recognize His hand in your life, ask Him to help you to come to know Him. We can go to Him with anything and He can help us with everything. Obey His teachings and keep his commandments and you will come to know the truth of it which will bring you closer to God and help you to know that He lives. As you act on your desire to believe, God will strengthen your belief in Him until it becomes sure knowledge. Show more Show less
