Hi I'm Karen

I grew up in Utah as a member of the Church. My husband and I lived in Colorado for 35 years. We have ten children.

About Me

I'm a wife and a mother of 10 wonderful children and 26 grandchildren. I have many interests top among them is spending time with my huge family. I'm an avid family historian with a degree in genealogy. Over the years I have collected and preserved many of the records of our ancestors. I enjoy helping others with their family research. I like to cook, garden, and decorate my home. I love missionary work. My husband and I have served 2 missions together in which we learned to love and appreciate people of many different cultures.

Why I am a Mormon

I love my Church, through it's teachings I have come to know my Heavenly Father and my Savior, Jesus Christ. I have felt their guidance and love through all the seasons and tribulations of my life. I know they live and that they are always there for me. I am immensely thankful for Christ's infinite atonement and how it has impacted my life. The Book of Mormon has also had a profound influence on my life. In its pages I have found answers to my questions, comfort, solace and the voice of the Lord. I love the teachings and beliefs of the Mormon Church. They fill my soul with joy. They are part of who I am and my actions from day to day. They are my life!

How I live my faith

In the community I served on our local school board for 12 years. It was a very rewarding experience. In church I have served in leadership and teaching positions. One of my favorite callings is teaching children. I am also a Visiting Teacher. I'm assigned to visit 4 ladies each month. I like finding little things I can do to help them. Today I'm planting tulip bulbs.
