Hi I'm Bryant

I like Sponge Bob, I`m a college student, I like to work out, I`m a Mormon.

About Me

I recently returned from serving a full time mission in Fortaleza Brazil. I am currently going to college, as a Health Science major. I generally spend my time studying but when I`m free I love to snowboard, longboard, rock climb, and run. I have recently become engaged and will be married to my sweetheart Melissa in June. I can`t wait!

Why I am a Mormon

I have been blessed with the opportunity of being born of wonderful parents who have taught me to love God since I was born. I was baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints when I was 8-years old. Ever since then I have seen the gospel enrich and bless my life. I believe anyone can have a close relationship with God. Our Father in Heaven listens to the prayers of all of his children. However I do believe that our God is an organized God. I always knew that God exhausted and answered my prayers but there reached a point in my life when I wanted to know for myself if I was on the right path being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ (or in other words being a Mormon) so I put the scripture James 1:5 to the test which states "If any of you lack wisdom let him ask of god who giveth to all men liberally and upbraideth not and it shall be given him" If we ask God a direct question with sincere desire to receive and answer and follow it we`ll most certainly receive an answer. And that`s exactly what I did. I kneeled down on my bed one night and asked if this was the right path and I was granted an answer. The Lord touched my heart by the power of the Holy Ghost and assured me that it was true.

How I live my faith

These past two semesters I have had the pleasure of working with some of my closest friends in helping with the Sunday School in our ward. There is a president and two counselors who are in charge of organizing and helping the teachers for both of our Sunday school classes. We even get the opportunity to teach every now and then which is always so much fun. There`s an old saying we use in the church that says "the teacher learns more than the students from the discussions" and I totally agree. Whenever I have the opportunity to teach I feel that the participants comments strengthen my belief in Christ our Redeemer. As a teacher you think that you have come up with anything and everything the class might bring up, but that`s never the case. There are always several inspired comments the students make in class.
