Hi I'm Mary

I was born in Uruguay, lived in South America & the U.S. I went to BYU, married my husband in the Temple. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college graduate. I am a wife, mom, and grandmother. I enjoy reading, knitting, gardening, quilting, singing. I have been a substitute teacher from preschool to 6th grade. I have worked in the Temple. I have been a Stake Missionary, Missionary to women in prison, a teacher at Church, Cub Scout leader, and had many other callings in Church. I met my husband at college and we were married in the Temple.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into an LDS family. I was taught the principles of the Church all of my life. My parents and siblings were great examples to me. I have always felt that the Church was true. When I think about the Book of Mormon there is no way that Joseph Smith could have written it. He was just a young boy with very little education. He had to be guided by our Heavenly Father to be able to translate the records and do all that he did during his short life. I still know that the Church is true and the Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ. I have lived in South America and seen things which help me believe that the things that are written in the Book of Mormon truly did happen. I am always excited to attend Church and do the things which are asked of me. I love my brothers and sisters in the Church. I also love my brothers and sisters who are not members of the Church.

How I live my faith

I am a teacher (visitor) to some of the women in my Church. I visit them every month and help them in any way that I can. I sing in the choir. I am a member of the Senior council in my city. I am the historian and make sure the events are listed in the newspapers. I attend as many of the activities at Church and the Seniors as I can. I also help some of the Seniors along with the help of my husband. I try to obey the commandments of Jesus Christ.
