Hi I'm Linda Nielson

I grew up in Northern Virginia. I am a wife and a mother of seven. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have loved my job as full time mom to seven children. Now that they are all grown I stay busy through volunteering for my church and local community. I enjoy knitting baby sweaters and piecing quilts.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the church when I was 20 years old. After about a year of investigating different religions I met a Mormon who told me about the restored gospel. It rang true. I am so grateful that my husband and I share the same faith and have reared our seven children in the church. Being a member of the church as helped us to avoid pitfalls. It has also enabled us to form eternal relationships with the ones we love.

How I live my faith

Over the years I have volunteered in the family history center helping people find their ancestors. It has been an amazing adventure finding over 500 names of my own ancestors. I have also been involved in food drives, and have helped in providing service for local hospitals, nursing homes, and for our military service men and women. I have enjoyed associating with the young men and young women of the church, specifically with working on youth conferences. My husband and I even directed a pioneer trek when our youth spent 3 days pushing handcarts, cooking over open fires and sleeping under the stars.
