Hi I'm Whitney

I'm a singer, a missionary and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a convert to the church, January 31, 2014. I am the only member in my family. It has been the single most amazing decision I have made (except for serving a mission..). The Gospel has been able to strengthen me in ways that I never knew was possible. I am serving in the Italy Milan mission, May '15 - November '16.

Why I am a Mormon

I attended a different church at Christmas time and from then I KNEW that I needed to find THE church. Not just a church that was right for me, but the true church. I was invited to come to the LDS church after a couple of weeks of me searching, I didn't come because I wanted to - in fact, I only came because I had nothing better to do so I didn't see that I had anything to lose. When I sat down in the chapel, listening to everyone bear their testimonies I felt like I was home. Not at a church surrounded by people that I don't know, but home. I met with the missionaries the following evening and three weeks later I was baptised and confirmed a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I know this is Christ's church that has been restored upon the earth and I know that the Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

Right now, I am serving a mission in Italy Milan. So, I have the opportunity every single day to serve others and help them to come unto Christ to help them to enjoy the blessings of the restored church of Jesus Christ. Prayer is a big thing, especially now that I am serving others. It's important that I follow the Spirit so I know that I am able to teach them exactly what they need to know and hear to help them to come unto Christ. During teaching, a testimony is bore, an experience is shared or a scripture is read every few minutes - at least.

What is done with the tithing that Mormons pay?

Tithing is so important. Without it we wouldn't have the temples, chapels and other building relating to the church. Without tithing we wouldn't be able to fund for the missionaries to spread the gospel and bring other people to the church. Tithing also pays for the equipment used in the classes when you go to church and helps to fund the church activities. Show more Show less
