Hi I'm Puanani

I am English, Irish, Tongan, Hawaiian and Chinese. I grew up in Hawaii, Utah and Tonga and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the Librarian at a small career college. I have diverse interests which spurred my decision to complete an MBA, get a real estate license and sell cosmetics. I love musicals, the ballet, and foreign films. I also enjoy martial arts films, Korean dramas and even Bollywood. I love classical music but I also love rap, hip hop and rock. I am definitely a foodie and adore ALL Asian cuisine thanks to growing up mostly in Hawaii. I have a flair for decorating and passion for clothes and I frequently find myself redoing or redressing rooms and people in my head and actually make these transformations at my apartment or at work.

Why I am a Mormon

I have never doubted the truthfulness of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. While my parents raised me in the church it is through living its principles that I have grown to love and strengthen these feelings that are the source of anything precious to me. Any thing good in my life can be attributed to my Savior Jesus Christ and the plan He has for me. Eternal progression in this life and the next is what gives me joy.

How I live my faith

I read from the Book of Mormon each day. It helps me focus on what is important to me best. I read a talk from the most recent LDS General Conference. These are filled with wisdom available freely online to the world. Principles to live life happily are covered here better than any other source. People pay for this type of inspiration. Anyone can get it from lds.org where these are archived and updated every 6 months. I blog for myself every day sometimes several times a day. It helps me reflect and improve which brings me joy.I am a ward missionary responsible for sharing and teaching people more about Jesus Christ and his perfect plan of eternal progression. I love this so much!!! My favorite thing in the world is sharing how I feel about Jesus Christ and his church with anyone who wants this in their lives. Every Saturday morning I am fortunate to help patrons at an LDS temple where the most significant and eternal work is conducted.

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

Puanani
Women enjoy equal but different roles. The combination of a man and woman working together is strength and optimal. Our Father in Heaven has given us the perfect way to maximize our potential as women through Jesus Christ who is central to our plan of eternal progression that begins now!!! Show more Show less
