Hi I'm Lindsey

I love being around family and friends, laughing until I cry, and just enjoying life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a born and raised California girl going to school at Brigham Young University and studying to become a speech language pathologist. I love people, and more than that, I love helping people. There is no better feeling to me than being able to put a smile on someone's face. The most important thing in my life is my family. I have one brother and two sisters who I am happy to call my best friends. Not to mention I have been blessed with what I consider to be the world's best parents. I love to travel. I love to read. I love chocolate chips. I love to talk. But most of all, I love being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised a member of the church. I can recall going to church every Sunday and being taught the principles of the Gospel from a very young age. At a difficult moment in my life, a close loved one passed away and I realized I was not sure of what I believed and I felt like I had nowhere or no one to turn to. Eventually I realized I needed to find out for myself if the church was true and that's when I began to sincerely pray. I have never felt so much love and so much comfort in my whole life than when I started to build that relationship with my Heavenly Father. I love being a part of a church where I know I get to be with my family even after we die. I can't think of a greater knowledge to bring peace to my mind. I am so grateful to be a Mormon and know of my Savior, Jesus Christ, who took upon himself all of my burdens so that I don't have to go through this life alone. I am a Mormon, because it truly brings me happiness.

How I live my faith

Many people have asked me why I don't serve a mission? I have prayed and asked myself that question too many times to count and have never felt that I was supposed to go on one. I may not wear a name tag or ride a bike, but I have come to realize that I am serving a mission by just living my life. I live my faith by being a friend to everyone. I try to love others as I know Jesus Christ loves them. I try to see the good in everyone and find ways to just be kind. I find I am a much happier person when I am worried more about other people than myself. I live my faith by seeing the good around me. When I take a second to look around, I realize how much Heavenly Father has blessed me with. I live my life in the best way I can so I can feel the love of my Heavenly Father and return to live with Him someday.
