Hi I'm Beth

I'm a Stay at Home Mom raising four little girls and a little boy. I'm also a Mormon.

About Me

I am the fourth of seven children. We moved around a lot when I was young. My parents decided to make the sacrifices necessary to allow my mom to stay at home with us. My husband and I have been married for over 10 years and now have five children. We have also decided that having a parent in the home is important, so I have stayed home with our children since shortly after our second child was born.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Although it has always been a part of my life, as I grew older it became important for me to decide for myself if the Church was true and if I wanted to be a part of it. My parents are converts to the Church, so I have many relatives in my extended family that belong to other faiths. Prayer has always been a part of my life. We read the scriptures and prayed together as a family when I was a child. There was a point in my life that I was disappointed that I had never had a profound spiritual experience testifying to me that the Book of Mormon was true. I prayed, asking why I did not have such an experience. The answer came quietly as the Spirit asked me why I would need a life altering experience when I already knew that it was true. Since that time I have continued trying to live my life in the way that God would want me to do. I am not perfect, but I do try. I have had many spiritual experiences that quietly, but firmly, confirm the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ as taught in the Book of Mormon and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

How I live my faith

I have spent much of the last decade working with the children in our church. They are a joy to teach. I have made many friends through my participation in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. My husband and I enjoy traveling. When we do, it is nice to know that no matter where we go there will be an LDS Church for us to attend on Sundays. Having our faith in common allows us common ground to get to know others no matter where we roam. The gospel is the same no matter where in the world you happen to be worshiping from.
