Hi I'm Emily Eckman

I am an Idaho farm girl, I am serving as a missionary at the Priesthood Restoration Site and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up on a Farm in Idaho and love to be outside working hard. I have loved working ever since I was young, but the work I do now is quite different than the work I did before. I have the wonderful opportunity to serve as a missionary. It is the most rewarding work that I have ever done. It has taught me patience and greater love. The love that the Savior has. I have come to know my Savior better and the wonderful blessing of his Atonement.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that the Book of Mormon is a sacred book written by Gods prophets to help us today to grow and change. That book has changed my heart and my desire to become something. As I read it I feel a warmth in my heart that comes when the Spirit testifies of truth! As I share my testimony of this book I gain a sense of happiness and excitement! I love being able to read the Book and learn something new each and every day. I know that I receive answers through my prayers by reading it.

How I live my faith

I am currently a full time missionary in Pennsylvania. As a missionary we are responsible for bringing people closer to Christ. Being on a mission has truly helped to to build my testimony, and I have found that as I forget myself and serve others, I am changed into something that the Lord wants me to be. As I learn about Christ's life through the scriptures and the words of the prophet I have a greater desire to serve everyone around me, because it is through that service that I am able to feel Christlike love for everyone.
