Hi I'm Anne Cabaniss

I grew up in Louisiana. I was an atheist and now I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the mother of 11 of the world's most beautiful, intelligent, and spectacular children, all of whom are boys except eight, and the grandmother of 17 of the world's most delightful, brilliant, and energetic children. I enjoy gardening, reading, studying abstract algebra, making concrete and hypertufa pots, sewing, and almost everything else imaginable.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because on January 17, 1972, I asked God the Eternal Father in the name of Jesus if what Elder Carroll and Elder Fife were teaching me were true, and I learned that the gospel of Jesus Christ is true. Although I do not yet have great faith, I have never doubted since that moment. .

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to become more like Jesus every day. I share what I have with others. Although I am paralyzingly shy, I volunteer as a tutor for the adult education program at my local community center. I want everyone to have access to the best education possible. I like teaching people to read so they can read the Bible and the Book of Mormon and other good books.
