Hi I'm Whitney

I'm a student. I play rugby. I'm in love with life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the oldest of 6 kids. I am a college student studying Marriage & Family, I want to become a Marriage and Family Therapist. I absolutely love the outdoors, especially hiking, climbing trees, and water sports like boating and whitewater rafting. I also love learning about Christ and his influence in my life, and sharing that knowledge with others. I love sewing and cooking for others. I think the capacity food has to bring people together is pretty amazing. I love learning about history and other cultures, and would like to travel across the world someday. I play the bassoon, which is the coolest instrument ever invented. If you don't know what that is look it up, it's pretty sweet! I also play rugby. I have played every forward position except for hook, and I absolutely love jumping in line-outs. Also I'm pretty much in love with life :)

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon, because I know that this is Christ's true Church organized on the earth today. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints contains the restored fullness of the of Christ's church as established while He was on the earth nearly 2 millennia ago, and He is at the head of our church today. I love my Savior and want to be where His influence is strongest. His influence is strongest in His restored church where His doctrines, and His priesthood authority can be found.

How I live my faith

The largest way in which I live my faith is by trying to become like my Savior. I study His word and the accounts of His life almost everyday. I try very hard to let Christ's example lead me in my decisions especially in the ways in which I treat other people. Having charity is hard, especially for some people, but its a whole lot easier when I can remember my Savior and the way that he lived.
