Hi I'm Laura

I'm an artist. I'm a lover of life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi, I'm Laura and I love Jesus Christ. I love to spend time with my family. They are some of my best friends. I've been homeschooled up until I started college in 2013. I am an artist. I'm a dancer, a singer, and I enjoy spending hours alone in my room with my guitar. I love to do things outdoors, hiking, swimming, going on walks, and pretty much anything under the sun! Or I would even build a snowman with you :) I really like to read and learn new things too.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a family that taught me to go to church and to love the Savior, so I've always been connected to the church. And when I was twelve years old I read the Book of Mormon by myself for the first time and decided for myself that it was true and that I wanted to gain a stronger and more personal testimony instead of merely relying on my parents. I began to study the scriptures and pay closer attention in church, seminary helped me a lot by teaching me how to understand the language in the scriptures. I also have wonderful parents who encouraged me to seek person knowledge. I am a Mormon because I've seen the power of the atonement in my life and I love my Savior. I love God and I am so grateful to be his child. I feel his protection and love in my daily life and this is why I'm a member. I know that by living the gospel my life may not be easier, but it is better. There are living prophets today who give us revelation and scripture each conference. I am grateful for the principles in the gospel and that they help me fill fulfilled and happy. I'm a Mormon because I believe in and love Jesus Christ and his restored church.

How I live my faith

I live my faith everywhere I go by dressing modestly and using appropriate language. I really enjoy being a member missionary by going to peoples homes with the sister missionaries. I think that the most profound way that I live my faith though is how I rely on Christ and am learning to repent daily. He is my best friend and by seeking to be worthy of his friendship and love I am able to set and keep high standards.
