Hi I'm Makenzie

I grew up in Beaverton, Oregon. I am working on becoming a ballroom dance teacher. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I grew up LDS and wasn't big on the religion. I went to church because I had to and my parents made me. Once I graduated high school I knew i wanted to move to Utah and begin finding out who I was. I ended up struggling morally and financially. I hated my life and got to the point where I felt like there was no God and that it was all just a lie the church had told me to keep me in line. After feeling like there was no hope left for me, I realized that the happiest I had been was when I was a church. So, I began going back to church. I now am working on being able to go back to the temple. I know that God has a plan for us and cares about us. I have seen a lot of hurt in my life and have experienced a lot of turmoil. However, I know that God cares and He is there. I know that He sent His son to die for me and that he is there with me when I cannot do things on my own. I know the gospel is true. I have found peace in this gospel and in its music. I play piano, dance, sing, and am very artistic and I know the gospel is true.

Why I am a Mormon

I have found that this gospel gives me more peace than any other. I have been to the very lowest of humanity and I have been forgiven by God for the actions I have done. I believe in the gospel and I believe that God is there for us. All we need to do is reach out to Him and he will help us through the tough times. I have experienced a lot of abuse in my lifetime and through it all, I have felt Jesus Christs arms around me and His support as He carried me through those tough times. I know that He lives and that He will return again. I strive to forgive others as He has forgiven me and I know of His infinite love and admiration. He loves all of us on the earth, unconditionally. I know this to be true, Amen.

How I live my faith

I am the pianist for the church. I play the hymns every sunday for the congregation to sing to. I also am the choir pianist and am very involved in the music in my ward. I love sharing my talents with others and helping them through music.
