Hi I'm Allie Willis

I'm a history buff, writer, Alabama Football fanatic, I often read through the night, I've been saved, and I'm a MORMON!

About Me

I was raised in the deep south of Alabama. I grew up playing soccer, reading every book I could find, and loving the green grass and sunny days of Alabama. I am the proud Aunt of three perfect nephews and two darling nieces. They are absolute sunshine and I love them dearly. Currently, I am a BYU student, avid reader, collector of quotes, and writer. From 2014-2016 I was blessed enough to be called to serve as a full-time missionary in the California, Roseville Mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised by members of this church. They taught me at a early age to study the Bible and the Book of Mormon, to pray to my Heavenly Father, and to do good in my daily life. I was also raised by a Southern society that taught me to say "amen and hallelujah" and to lean on the grace of our Savior's atonement. Faith and devotion where key players in my early years. There came a time, however, when I felt like I didn't have anything to lean on and there was nothing there to catch me. But here's the thing: THAT IS A LIE. There will always be someone there to catch you. Always. That is when I learned that Christ is my Savior. That he saved me. I had, in fact, been caught so many times. We are the legacy of an atonement. Choose to lean on Him. He is the one thing that will NEVER disappear. He is the thing that makes tomorrow bright. He is the thing that gives hope to those in pain. As my home girl Anne Shirley said, "Tomorrow is a new day with no mistakes in it." It is true. Our future is bright. It is filled with all the potential we can muster. No matter how dark yesterday or today, tomorrow is a new day. And as great as dear Anne is, there is another message I love even more. In fact, I cherish it. It is a message we can hear spoken personally to each of us when we lean on Him. "Tomorrow is new day with no mistakes in it... YET. It is a day with the hope of salvation and progression. And yesterday... Even though you messed up big Yesterday is a past day with no mistakes in it.... ANYMORE. It is a day filled with the hope of my atonement. And I love you." That is the message of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. The message of our Savior, of hope, and of salvation. Your future is as bright as you will allow it to be. Lean on the Savior. Bathe his feet with the humility, the devotion, the gratitude, and the love of your tears. And please, let him bathe you in His love. It is infinite. It is enabling. It is everything.
