Hi I'm Lauri Stewart

I grew up in St George Utah. I love the desert, Mexican food, and motherhood.

About Me

I am a lucky wife to an excellent husband and I am a mother of two girls and one boy on the way. I love to cook and I especially love to eat. I served a Spanish speaking mission in the US and later lived for a short time in a small village close to Guanajuato, Mexico where I learned to love all things Mexican. I enjoy keeping in touch with people that have touched my life and do so most often through blogging. jamesandlauri.blogspot.com and lauriskitchencabinet.blogspot.com.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the LDS faith. The principles that I was taught at a young age brought me happiness when I lived them. As I grew older, I did not want to be unhappy, so I continued to live those principles I was taught as a child. I now have a deep seeded faith in my Savior, His atonement and commandments that were made and given to us. I know that when I live and obey them, I am happy. I want to share that with everyone I know. It is the best!

How I live my faith

I have a deep belief in my Savior Jesus Christ. I know that His Atonement is real. That knowledge has affected every part of my life and the decisions I have made. I want to teach my children to be kind, caring and involved citizens of the communities of which they live. Before having children, my only desire was to change the world for good. I still have that same desire but on a much smaller scale, starting in my home with my children. I want to be an example that they can look up to and emulate the characteristics that Christ showed us while he was on this earth.
