Hi I'm Emily

I am the middle of nine wonderful kids that I love more than anything! I love everything Disney. I am a farmer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have lived in the same beautiful house in Idaho for my whole life until recently going off to school. My dad was lucky enough to have nine kids to distribute all the farm work out. Days in the summer were spent getting up early to set water on the fields, changing sprinkler pipes, digging corrugates until who knows when just to go out and change the water again that night. Annoying as it was, I had that wonderful opportunity to learn how to work hard and earn money for college. A lot of our family time was spent out in the yard with each other playing kickball, softball, or just laying around in the grass. I love pretty much every sport and only wish I was coordinated enough to be good at them all.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church but have chosen for myself to be an active member and now attend a singles ward on my own because I have a testimony that this church is true and that by going to church and participating in this gospel my testimony will grow even stronger. Being a member of this gospel gives me hope that through the atonement of Jesus Christ, I can not only be forgiven and become clean again before God, but I can also have a friend with me through anything. I know that my Savior went through every feeling that I have felt and that gives me comfort that there is always someone that understands and knows how I feel. I know that life is eternal and that God and Jesus Christ live and want everyone to end up back with them. I am a Mormon because of the feelings I have when I pray and the way I feel the Spirit when I make the right choices and attend church every week and take the sacrament and renew my covenants.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending church every Sunday. It is a place where I can not only learn of my Heavenly Father but hear the testimonies of other students and have the Spirit with me and take it with me throughout the week and hopefully share it with others. I have the wonderful opportunity to be called as a visiting teacher. Having this calling gives me the opportunity to meet and care for girls in my life that I may not have otherwise met and even become friends with. It is a blessing to get different insights from these girls and to have gained a love for them. The Lord has definitely put these girls in my life for a reason.
