Hi I'm Hunter Rasmussen

I grew up in Santa Clara, Utah. I'm a missionary in Charlotte, North Carolina. I love to have fun. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently serving a full time mission in Charlotte, North Carolina. I never have a dull day. I love the small and simple things that everyday life has to offer and I always look for a way to make someone smile. I have tried many different sports and hobbies. Everything from football to cheer-leading but my favorite sport/hobby is motocross. I have an 2 siblings whom I love dearly as well as step siblings that are amazing. My parents are the best in the world! They are supportive and loving and are always taking my family on fun vacations. I love hiking, biking, camping, fishing, hunting, skateboarding, snowboarding, push-scooters, and anything else potentially dangerous. Gaining a testimony of the gospel and my Savior Jesus Christ is the best and most fulfilling thing I have ever done. I love my Savior and the Book of Mormon. May favorite quote is "the church is true and the book is blue."

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that this church is true. I have gained my personal witness that Joseph Smith is a prophet of God and by the power of God that was given to Joseph, he was lead to a record of the ancient inhabitants of America. By that same power from on high, Joseph Smith translated the writings of those inhabitants and gave them to the world through the Book of Mormon. The book of Mormon is true. It is the keystone of our religion and if anyone prayerfully reads it with a sincere desire to follow God, with real intent, meaning willing to act upon the answer they are given, they will receive a witness of the truthfulness of the book by the power of the Holy Ghost. I have done this. I know it is true. i have gained my witness from the Holy Ghost and that's why I say, "the church is true and the book is blue."

How I live my faith

I chose to live my faith by trying my best to improve my life everyday by following the Savior's teachings and commandments. I read from my scriptures daily, say my prayers, and attend church every Sunday because I know those basic gospel principles are what help me to improve and grow stronger in the gospel. I serve my fellow men because when I do good I feel good and the Lord has shown us that kindness and service is the key to a happy life. Living the gospel is not easy but it is worth it. The feelings of satisfaction and joy I feel when I do what our Father in Heaven has asked all His children to do is indescribable. It's better then winning a motocross race or landing a new trick on a skateboard.
