Hi I'm Kaitlyn

I'm a singing-dancing and book reading gal! I love mismatched socks, nutella on my toast, and eating popcorn. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hello!! My name is Kaitlyn! I was born and raised in Utah. I'm a college student trying to find my place in this world! I love to perform and be on stage! I love to read and go on random adventures and traveling! I love meeting new people and learning about their stories. I love checking things off my bucket list and I love to eat popcorn!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up active in the church. My family is all active and most of my extended family is too. I love the gospel! It provides so much comfort and gives direction. I have a testimony of this gospel. I know that the prophet Joseph Smith saw what he said he did in the grove of trees. I know that families can be together forever because of the plan of salvation. I am so grateful for our prophet, President Thomas S. Monson. I know that he leads and directions this church through the direction of our Heavenly Father. I am grateful for Jesus Christ and the sacrifice he made for each of us. That sacrifice is the Atonement. I love the Lord and I'm gratefully that I know that I have a Father in Heaven who loves each of us. He understands us and knows exactly how we feel. And is right there by our side, every step of the way. I am so grateful for the hope the gospel brings. I don't know where I would be without my testimony. My name is Kaitlyn. And I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I love being a member of the LDS church! It provides so many opportunities to grow! This is a 'living church' which means that it's still active in receiving revelation from God. We have a living Prophet who leads and guides our church. I love listening to the counsel given at General Conference every 6 months and being able to learn how I can better my life. I love the focus on families! My family is so important to me and I can't imagine my life without them. I love knowing that because of the promises made in the Temple, my family can be together forever! I love knowing that the commandments or "guidelines" we are given help us to not only become better, but it's a safety net from the world.

What is faith?

From a primary song.... "Faith is knowing the sun will rise..." The sun for example. We have faith that the sun will come up in the morning. How can we really know? Well... we can't. But we have faith that it will! That's kind of like the Faith that we use in our lives. Faith doesn't mean you can see it. Sometimes you can. Faith is a hope. It's a feeling that you believe in. For example, I have faith in my Heavenly Father. I've never seen Him in real life, but I can feel the holy ghost which confirms to me that he is real. And I pay attention to the little things in my life (sometimes called miracles or tender mercies). Just knowing that there is someone up there that really cares about you and your life and wants to help you, it's such a comfort. You really are not alone. And Faith helps you to never feel like you are. Faith is like a seed, if planted and nourished, it will grow. The more you tend to your faith seed, the stronger and bigger it becomes.
