Hi I'm Linda Earl

I grew up on a farm in Idaho, I love the changing of the seasons....and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of a great teenage son and a wife to a husband who has become my best friend. I enjoy taking rides in the country with them, going camping, exploring the outdoors and just spending as much time with them as I can. We live in a place where there are four seasons and I truly enjoy the changing of the seasons. The fun and carefree warmth of summer when time seems to slow down gradually fading into the brisk but breathtaking colors of Autumn which surprises you one fine day with a pure white blanket of newly fallen snow and the beauty of a frosted tree sparkling like a million diamonds frozen in time. Then, after winter's fury the sun returns and blesses you with the promise of sweet blossoms and a fresh new hope springing to life! Ahhh, It brings a smile to my face every time! I try to enjoy life any chance I get but my life isn't perfect. Just like everyone else, life has thrown me plenty of curve balls. Many times it has not been easy...actually a lot of it has been down right painful. But, I have been blessed to have the guiding principles of the gospel of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints as a firm foundation to rely on throughout my life's trials. That coupled with deep faith in my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ I have been truly blessed with the strength where I've needed it and the faith to go on.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because it teaches eternal principles. It gives me comfort and answers I can't find anywhere else. It has blessed my life in ways I could not even imagine.

How I live my faith

I grew up in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and was taught at a very young age that I lived in heaven with my Heavenly Father before I came to earth. I was taught that this life is meant to be a test. A refining time so that we can learn and grow here. I learned that through the atoning sacrifice of our Elder Brother Jesus Christ,we could go back to live again with Him and our Heavenly Father as well as our families we have here on earth if we strive to follow his teachings. Shortly before my eighth birthday my father died suddenly. My family was devastated. I remember questioning, “Why would God let this happen? Did He know how sad and alone I was?...did He even know my name?” My mother knelt in family prayer with us, praying we'd feel Heavenly Father's love. I had a warm feeling come over me much like a comforting warm blanket placed lovingly around my shoulders. I knew it was a testament from the Spirit that what I had been taught all my life was true. Life marched on, many trials have come my way. However, with prayer and this gospel I have been blessed to make it through things that were hard coming out with a deeper understanding of His plan for me. I know He does love each one of us. He sent His Son so that we could have a way back to Him. This gospel enables families be reunited after death and remain together for eternity as they follow Gods plan. It provides peace in the face of hardship and joy here on earth and into the Eternities.
