Hi I'm Shelby

I'm a Mormon. I have been my whole life. I love to sing, dance, read, and scrapbook.

About Me

I love to sing, dance, read, and scrapbook. I've been taking college classes, and am pursuing a degree in nursing. I am working at a dance studio until I leave for my mission. I have just received my call to San Antonio Texas. I am way excited to meet the people there.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe in the teachings of the gospel. I believe in the Book Of Mormon. I believe that Jesus Christ is my Savior. I know that he suffered for me so that I can become better, and return back to live with him, and my Heavenly Father through repentance. I believe in the Holy Ghost, and am so grateful that I have this wonderful gift. I'm grateful that I know where I come from, and where I'm going. I know that priesthood power is real. Even though I can't personally receive it. I know that I have a duty to honor it, and help men who do have it to honor it as well. I have felt the spirit many times when I have learned about these things. The spirit lets you know what is true. It has let me know that these things are true. That's why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I don't know what I would do if I didn't have the gospel of Jesus Christ in my life. I am lucky because I've been a member my whole life. My parents have taught me the importance of living the gospel. I have been so blessed to be raised by them. I love the scriptures. I try to read them every day. It makes the most wonderful difference in your life if you will sit down and read them. I've come to learn that nobody's perfect, and it's ok if I don't understand everything about the gospel the first time I hear it. That's what I love about it, is that I get to keep learning more, and more. I believe that Jesus Christ is the savior of the world. I try to follow him, and I know when I do that I am much happier. I have a current calling in the church right now. I have the wonderful opportunity to teach children who are nine years old. I feel blessed because I think I learn more from them than they do from me. I love getting to teach them, because I learn more about the gospel from the lessons, as well as the children.
