Hi I'm Tim

I'm a convert to Jesus Christ's Church of 37+ years and have never ever been happier.

About Me

I'm semi-retired from working as a business consultant in leadership development. My love is family (3 children and 7 grandchildren), friends and neighbors who bring out the best in me. My hobbies are family history, gardening and golf. I even ran for the mayor of my small city and learned a great deal about campaigning, politics and discussing local issues.

Why I am a Mormon

I converted some 37+ years ago after leaving my former childhood faith as a young man. My wife and I were looking for another church when a friend invited us to a Old Testament study group. We liked that so much that he invited us to attend the Oakland, California Visitors Center and learn more about his church. We liked what we saw and heard and asked for the missionaries to come into our home and teach us. The Holy Ghost touched our hearts with the truth that Jesus is the Christ the Savior of all mankind who suffered for all our shortcomings and transgressions. The lessons were principle based and taught the Jesus Church had been restored after a 1500 year absents from the earth with apostles, prophets, teachers, etc. The members were very helpful and we have never looked back.

How I live my faith

I have been a part of my communities where I've lived as a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity (Board of Directors for 9 years), interfaith service group (5 years), emergency response when disasters strike, teacher of English as a second language with my wife (1 year in China), Boy Scout badge councilor and in my church as a teacher, men's and youth leader, caring for our members needs and learning how Christ served us.

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

God labored six days organizing/creating the universe, earth, man, woman, etc. and rested on the seventh...Why then should we not labor and receive the laborers reward after all we can do and find rest with our God? For God so loved the world/mankind that he sent his only begotten (perfect) son to atone for those things we are incapable of overcoming while we sojourn on this earth. Show more Show less
