Hi I'm Sarah

I grew up in the United States. I am a college student at New Mexico State university. I'm a Mormon born and raised. :D

About Me

I am a college student that is studying Nursing in New Mexico. I play the violin, stand up bass, piano. I love being outside; riding bikes, walking, any sports. I love being with my family. I have five siblings; three brothers and two sisters. I am the baby of the family and all my siblings are married. I have 7 nephews (one on the way) and 3 nieces. I love with them with all my heart. My favorite thing to do in the whole entire world is to laugh! :D Life is good, it's not easy, but it's worth it. Remember to keep on keepin' on! :D

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know this Gospel is true. I have been a member my whole life. I was baptized when I was eight years old, but I have grown every year with a better and sure knowledge of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It is the one thing in this world that truly makes me happy. It is something that always brings peace and direction. I have had my share of doubts or concerns, but this Gospel answers all the questions and makes all the doubts disappear. I know my Savior lives and loves me. He is the ultimate example. I am trying to live a life after His example and though I fall, His extended arm is always there to pull me back up again.

How I live my faith

In the church I am a teacher. I teach lessons the last hour of church to the women. I also am a ward missionary meaning I help the missionaries that are assigned to our ward by going out with them when they teach lessons or I give them rides. I also visit a few sisters once a month to see how they are doing and what I can do to help them. We do a lot of activities at my church. It can be game nights to service projects, but it's always a good time. I am going to serve a mission also for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and I am super excited and honored for this opportunity.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Joseph Smith was a great man. He was a Prophet of God who endured a lot to make sure the Gospel of Jesus Christ was restored to the earth. Though we do honor, respect, and love Joseph Smith, we do not worship him. We worship our Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus Christ. They are our creators and they are the ones that know the end from the beginning and has a plan for each of us. Joseph was chosen as a prophet of God to bring forth this message. Being a Prophet of God, He has the power to guide and direct through the direction of God. So, we should listen to his counsel and guidance, but the praise and glory goes to our Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
