Hi I'm Natasha

I'm 24 years old, a wife, pre-dental student, and a lover of graphic design, blogging, health, and CrossFit.

About Me

I've always been a big "planner" and thought everything in life had to go by what I had pictured in my mind, but I've realized life doesn't work that way and I've learned to absolutely love it. I never thought I would live outside of Utah, but we are now living in the great state of Texas. I'm a city girl, but we are living in a town of 16,000. I graduated with a degree in psychology, but returned to school to become a dentist. The adventures and detours of life and of the first few years of marriage have been unexpected, but so good to us. I absolutely love learning and meeting new people. I love creativity- graphic design, photography, blogging, and taking on any sort of project. I find joy in living a healthy and active lifestyle, traveling, dancing, and being around friends and family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because to me, the gospel makes sense. It makes sense to me that we have a living prophet on the earth today. The bible says that God is the same yesterday, today and forever. We had prophets in biblical times and He knows we need prophets in modern times. It makes sense to me to have a Book of Mormon which gives an account of people in the ancient Americas, in addition to having the Bible which gives an account of people in the East. To me it makes sense that God would speak to people in many different lands so that He could lead and guide them. It makes sense to me that when Jesus Christ was crucified and his apostles were killed, that the complete truth of Christ's church was no longer on the earth and that it had to be restored again through the Prophet Joseph Smith. It makes sense to me that this gospel teaches "The Plan of Salvation" which allows us to be with our families not only in this life, but throughout eternity. I am a Mormon because I am a beauty seeker. "If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report, or praiseworthy, we seek after these things." I love that this gospel is one of constant forward movement and positive change. Each day I strive to become closer to my Savior and become the woman that Heavenly Father has designed me to become. I'm so grateful for the happiness and peace that this gospel brings into my life.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving as the Young Women's President which means I work with the youth ages 12-18. It has been such a blessing to work with them because although they are younger than I am, they are some of the greatest examples in my life. My mom was a great example of service to others on a daily basis and I strive to do the same. Just as it is important to serve our brothers and sisters within our own church, it is just as important to serve those in the community and the world. I am a board member of our local food pantry which distributes to 5,000 families a month. I recently volunteered in a Belize orphanage and hope to make many humanitarian trips throughout my life. Most of all, I live my faith through following my Savior. When I am living in a way that I feel close to him, I know that His light can shine through me and that my "light may be a standard for the nations." I also know that when I follow my Savior, the Holy Ghost is near me to guide me to those who may need uplifted.
