Hi I'm Daniel Thomas

I grew up in Chattanooga, Tennessee. My ancestors go way back in the church. I work for Coca Cola. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

My great great grandfather William Lowery Tanner joined the church in the late 1800's in an area called NorthCutts Cove which is in Altamonte, Tennessee! This is where all the blessings started for my family! I enjoy hunting, fishing, and spending time with my grandchildren! I am married to my wife of 28 years, I have 3 grown children and two grandchildren.

Why I am a Mormon

I not only grew up in the church through the history of my family.... I gained a testimony of my own when I was 14 years old. What struck me the most is the simplicity of the gospel and how everything just makes sense and as I studied and prayed I was given assurance through the spirit by the feelings I had. I have a firm testimony and know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is Christ church and that it was restored through and by the prophet Joseph Smith. I know that we have a Living prophet today, President Thomas S. Monson who leads and guides this church as prophets did in biblical times. I know the Book of Mormon is the word of God as well as the Holy Bible. I am grateful for an eternal family and for the peace the gospel brings me. I know that Christ is the center of this church and that we have leaders who are called of God and that the priesthood and it's keys have been restored in this dispensation and I have seen and witnessed these priesthood blessings in my own life. I am forever grateful for my membership in the church and hold it dear to my heart.

How I live my faith

I enjoying serving in my community and at church wherever and whenever I am asked or any time I can volunteer. I find joy in serving others and serving my Heavenly Father in my activities.
