Hi I'm Pam

I grew up on a farm in Idaho. I moved 'north to Alaska'. I work in our family business. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am a cancer survivor of 11 years. I love being a grandmother to 11 grandchildren from ages 14 down to 1 and spending time with them. I enjoy music of all kinds. Although not an accomplished concert pianist, I do love to play the piano and I also sing a little. Along with my husband, we established a family business which has expanded to include all four of our children/spouses/grandchildren. I especially enjoy working together with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I became a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints when I was 8 years old. Even as a young child I believe I felt the truthfulness of the things I was taught by my parents and in my church classes but my first real testimony of the gospel and what it can do for families was impressed upon me when a tragic accident took the life of one of my classmates. I remember our Primary Class singing the words "I am a Child of God" at his funeral and it became clear to me that I DID know that I was a daughter of a Heavenly Father and that He loved me.....that He loved us all. Throughout my life, I have tried to always remember the feeling of love and light that I felt at that time. As I have studied and prayed and tried to follow the example of the Savior, I have had other times that same peaceful feeling and confirmation of the truthfulness of His gospel. I love that Heavenly Father does not expect us just to accept but to study, pray, ask and then He will reveal His truth to us. I am humbled that Jesus Christ has given us this opportunity to change and be more like Him. I am thankful that He is patient with each of us. I know that prophets are sent to help and guide us. I know the gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored to the earth and that the Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ and was translated for us to understand and grow closer to Him.

How I live my faith

My husband and I are currently on assignment in Canada for three years. We are responsible for 156 volunteer missionaries serving in this area to share the gospel message and to issue the invitation for all to "Come unto Christ". These missionaries we are responsible for are scattered throughout the Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Ontario Provinces and we often travel 9 hours or more to meet with them to train, edify and uplift. Most of all we encourage them to love and serve the people around them. I am a firm believer that music can touch and teach. Just recently I worked with a group which used music to teach and testify of the importance of families and how the Savior made it possible to be an eternal family.
