Do you want to chat with a missionary?

We are happy to answer any questions you may have.

Hi I'm Bailey

I'm a small town girl from Idaho. I played three sports and showed swine through FFA. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am a college student majoring in biochemistry. I love to play basketball and volleyball and just about everything else. I grew up in a small town, so agriculture has always been a big part of my life. Thus, I raised and showed pigs for 10 years. I enjoy spending time with my family and my friends. My favorite place in the whole world is a small tourist town in Idaho where my grandparents have a ranch. My family and I love to spend summers hiking to remote mountain lakes to go fishing or just enjoy the beautiful scenery. I am currently serving a mission and have been called to labor in Maceió, Brazil. I love this work and I'm so excited to have the opportunity to serve my brothers and sisters in Brazil. I love this gospel. I want to share it with everyone I meet.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into this church. I was raised in it my whole life. Yet, I continue to live its gospel teachings. This is because I have come to know for myself that it is true. I love this church and its gospel with all of my heart. When I left home, I realized I couldn't rely on my parents anymore. I had to decide what I was going to do with my life and I chose to pattern it after the teachings of Christ. I'm a strong believer in the saying, "put God first and everything else will fall into place." This church is the reason that I am who I am today. I know that my life is different because of this church and I am forever grateful for it. I am incredibly thankful for the loving sacrifice of a wonderful big brother. He made it possible for me and everyone else who has live on earth to be able to live with Heavenly Father and our families eternally. I cannot imagine an eternity without either of them. Every day I want to come closer to my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ so I strive to live the commandments given to us by them. I am a Mormon because it is simply the most beautiful and rewarding part of my life. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the only thing that can make us truly happy in this life.

How I live my faith

As a calling in my church I teach the women of my singles ward about how they can come closer to Christ. The best part about having the opportunity to do this is that I find myself learning right along with my sisters, maybe even more so than I teach! Together we both realize our true divine nature and are able to grow in the light of Christ. There are few things in this world that bring me more joy than being able to teach others about things that make me so very happy. This past summer I taught the sunbeam (ages 4-5) class in my local family ward. I truly loved that calling. There is nothing more beautiful than seeing the light in a child's eyes. It taught me how simple the gospel really is.

Do Mormons regard the Bible as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Bailey
The Bible is an amazing testimony of Christ and is most definitely the word of God. I'm in a New Testament class right now and every day I am able to see how important the Bible is to us. We know it is of God and that it is a beautiful witness of Christ. The Holy Bible and the Book of Mormon compliment each other and are both extraordinary gifts to us from God. Show more Show less
