Hi I'm Emily

I grew up in Utah and I am a full-time missionary serving in the Texas McAllen Mission! I'm happy and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I'm a nerdy girl that loves anything to do with the medical field. I hope one day to be a nurse. I am the youngest child of four in my family. Right now I'm serving a mission in South Texas and trying to learn Spanish. My life is centered on Christ and I hope to always keep it that way.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in a Mormon family. While I was pretty young, I grew to appreciate the things I learned at church. When I was 13 years old, the spirit testified to me of the absolute truth of this gospel. Since then, my testimony has grown and will continue to grow. There is still a lot I don't know, but I can't wait to learn and come forever closer to my Heavenly Father and my Savior, Jesus Christ. I know that this gospel is the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. Joseph Smith and all of the prophets since then have been called of God to do his work on this earth. This gospel brings incredible light, knowledge, joy, and much more to my own life and countless other people's lives. Because of this gospel, I have an eternal family and hope for a better future, no matter how bad things get right now. This is the true church. I would be lost without it. I am eternally grateful that I was able to be born into a family with this knowledge.

How I live my faith

The gospel is a huge part of my life. Reading my scriptures, praying, serving people in my family and community, attending ward activities, and more are ways that I get to feel the spirit everyday. While I was at school, I was able to help plan activities as my calling in my student ward. I loved this calling as it allowed me to serve people and make new friends. As I prepare to go on a mission, I look forward to countless opportunities to meet new people and show them how much God loves them.
