Hi I'm Allen

I grew up in Taiwan then I moved here with my family when I was 8. I'm a brother, son, and I am a Mormon

About Me

I was born in Taiwan and moved to the states just before my 8th birthday. Moving here was a big change from all that I was used to but I was able to adjust pretty quickly. The reason for moving was to allow my sister and I to get used to the school systems here and eventually attend college. I plan on serving a mission and attending college when time arises. I enjoy the company of friends very much and think they are extremely important. I also like to sometimes just sit and ponder all the things which have been given onto me, and how all of this can even be if there was not a God.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a convert to the church and I am SO glad I did. The kinds of blessings I have received are just so special, and I know that there is no way that they are just coincidences. When I first joined the church I have to admit I wasn't really seeking knowledge and understanding of the gospel at all, I just went to church because the family did. As time passed on and I made the decision to gain knowledge of the gospel, I could noticeably feel a difference in my life. This was around the time when I started high school, and seminary. I know that Heavenly Father had it all planned out that I would really gain benifits at that point in my life, and I really did. between church, seminary, mutual, and friends, it was literally a giant wave of spiritual feelings that strengthened my testimony. Ever since then my testimony has grown ever so strong. I know that God prepares ways for all of us to gain knowledge of the gospel and return to live with him. My way was to be converted into the gospel. Being a convert gave me the ability to have the perspective of being a non-member as well as being a member, and that alone has made me strive to be my best because I can see what difference living the gospel brings into my life. This truly is the true church and the restored gospel, I know because coincidences simply can not be the answer to all these "mysterious blessings" I leave this with you in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by finding personal revelation, and treasuring it. It really is a great thing when you can find personal revelation in something as simple as recognizing blessings from Heavenly Father. Personal revelation really does help me know and feel the love that Heavenly Father has for me, and it is so great to be able to feel that. Also, like I said earlier, friends to me are EXTREMELY important, choosing good friends makes it easier for me to keep my standards and live my life according to Heavenly Father's will. Keeping the commandments willingly also makes yourself feel at peace, and you just know that Heavenly Father will help you along the way.
