Hi I'm Davis Jenkins

I grew up in Auburn California. I love to play golf, spend time with my family, and laugh with friends. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the oldest of five kids in my family. I have three younger brothers and a sister. I've loved growing up being Mormon. I've grown up going to public school where not very many people share the same faith as me, meaning that I've always had to stand up for what I believe in. Although it is sometimes challenging, I love it; and love being able to share my beliefs with others who aren't familiar with them. Most of my main interests in life come from trying and playing many different sports. When it comes to sports, I'm a jack of all trades (but a master of none). I've played on both baseball and golf for my high school team, but also enjoy many other sports. I enjoy spending time outdoors, whether it be skiing, backpacking, mountain biking or some other form of fulfilling exercise. I also love playing the saxophone for other people, as I've played in multiple shows. I think it is important that we enjoy the beautiful earth that God has created for us.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of this church because I believe it's true, and because it brings me happiness. I was blessed to be able to grow up in this church, and now that I am older I have been able to make the choice on my own. I know this church is true, and I want to help other people discover that same truth so that they could feel my level happiness. "Life is to be enjoyed, not endured" -Gordon B. Hinckley.

How I live my faith

I am currently a senior in high school, and since I was a freshman I have been attending early morning seminary. It is a great way to start the day, feeling the spirit and knowing that I'm in the right place. I also live my faith by serving others, and reaching out in charitable ways; because charity is the pure love of Christ. On June 18th I have chosen to live my faith to a whole different extent, as I will be serving a mission in the Ecuador Guayaquil South mission. Preparing to become a missionary is a whole 'nother experience of growing faith that I haven't ever experienced. I've spent more time than I ever have praying to my Father in Heaven, as he helps me prepare for the next two years to come.
