Hi I'm Paul Chamberlain

I grew up and have lived most of my life in Utah. I am a father and grandfather. I am an engineer. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father of four and grandfather of four. I have lived in Utah most of my life. I have worked as an engineer in the aerospace industry and now own my own engineering and manufacturing company. I enjoy the outdoors of Utah, and running and biking for exercise. I also enjoy the hobby of songwriting.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised by wonderful parents who taught me to have faith in Jesus Christ and instilled in me a commitment to follow him by keeping his commandments, serving others and attending church each Sunday. As a teenager my faith began to grow and I began to depend less on my parents' faith. At the age of 19 I decided to serve as a missionary and was called to serve in Venezuela. That experience became a foundational event that strengthened my faith and testimony in Jesus Christ and his restored church. I was married in my early 20's and, with my wife, we have continued to teach our own children the principles that we were taught in our youth. As are children have grown they have each struggled and overcome challenges to their faith - each in different ways - to gain their own independent faith and commitment. I continue to live a life committed to following Jesus Christ. I often fall short and have many weaknesses to overcome. Through the gospel of Jesus Christ I have hope and optimism in life and experience a peace and joy that is priceless to me - despite my shortcomings. My family and I have experienced trials, not unlike many families do. We have been able to endure and grow from these experiences because we understand God's purpose and plan for us - to grow and improve and strive to become more like Him. Because of the joy and abundant life that I have experienced as a follower of Jesus Christ, I have an increased desire to share with others the source of this happiness.

How I live my faith

I live in a wonderful community that serves one another and watches out for one another. I attend church each Sunday where I server as the president of the young men's organization (ages 12-18) and teach a class of the older boys. One day each week I also participate with the teenage boys in our ward in activities where we do community service, learn about education and careers, play sports, do outdoor activities and often combine our activities with the teenage girls of the same age. Prayer and study of the scriptures a part of my routine that I strive to do each day. I have also participated in organizations that serve the refugee population in our community.
