Hi I'm Sarah

I'm from Utah. I love my Savior. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am a singer, a writer, I'm going to college and on a mission. I love anything fantasy like: Lord of the Rings, Star Trek, or Harry Potter. I love listening to music and playing the piano. My favorite quote is "He who kneels before God can stand before anyone." I went to a high school where many didn't believe the things I believe. Even if they were Mormon they pretended not to be. It's hard to be in a situation where all your friends have different standards. I left my friends and found friends that have my standards. That decision was extremely hard but I have learned so much from it!

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the church my entire life, though I haven't been a true disciple of Christ my entire life. I've had small conversions that have pushed me forward but I guess my true conversion came when I decided to go on a mission. I was reading in Doctrine and Covenants section: 6, which is all about personal revelation and laboring in the Lord's field. After reading this I felt the need to get down on my knees and pray, but instead of asking if a mission was the right thing (which I had done many times) I said "I am going on a mission". Almost immediately I felt a wave of love and of course, emotion. Ever since then I have been preparing myself to serve the Lord and serve his people. Not everyone gets that kind of answer and I promise that I wasn't planning on getting an answer that soon! But we all get answers to our prayers, in our own time and way. Our Heavenly Father cares about us so much that he will listen to our complaints, our impatience, and our questions and he will take the time to answer us. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the true church, I know without a shadow of a doubt that the Book of Mormon is true and that there are doctrines and principles in that book that will help us make it to the end. I am so grateful that I know that Jesus Christ lives and that he atoned for each and everyone of us. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet and that he saw our Father and our Brother, I know that Thomas S. Monson is the true prophet on this earth today and that he receives revelation for us and the church, and I know that we can receive revelation for ourselves in this day.

How I live my faith

I've had many callings in the church and I have tried to fulfill those callings to the fullest possible way I can. I do visiting teaching with two other girls and they have become my best friends! Love the people you work with, learn to love those you serve, that is the greatest blessing I have learned from my callings. I try to get involved with my ward by going to the activities, going to the temple with them, and fulfilling my calling. During college your ward is your "home away from home". They become your family and they care about you.
