Hi I'm Skyler

I grew up in Idaho, I'm a Missionary in Kentucky and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Ahoy there! My name is Skyler Martin. I was raised in the the little hippie town of Moscow in the pan handle of Idaho. Growing up in Northern Idaho I have learned to love and enjoyed being able to go out and enjoy all the things our Heavenly Father has created for us. There is no better place to be then outside. I believe that sometimes I think the best when I'm out riding my bicycle. I enjoy skipping rocks, hiking, Canoeing, and mountain biking. I come from a family of two wonderful parents and three crazy brothers. I dig good music, retro 80's beats and Indie pop, and Winnie the Pooh. More recently in my life I have come to appreciate old stuff I drive an Old Volkswagen and I collect film cameras. Right now I'm living out of case in and around Kentucky as a missionary.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that the gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored. Although I am not a convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I have gained my own conversion through study and prayer. I know that the Book of Mormon is a true book, it is the word of God and that it teaches the pure gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that Heavenly Father can help me and bless me as I live the way I have been taught. I have had times in my life that I can see how his plan has proven true as long as I am obedient to the commandments.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to show love for other people. I look up to the perfect example of my savior Jesus Christ and try my best to follow him. Right now I'm putting off schooling, work and other things most kids my age would be doing to serve the Lord in the Kentucky Louisville Mission. I serve in this missionary service by inviting others to come to Christ by helping them receive the restored gospel. Along the way I always look for ways to help others. Providing help to those in need is always something I have found a lot of happiness in. This opportunity has helped me to continue to build on my faith as I teach the things I know to be true. I honestly truly love living the way I do and I know that my life wouldn't be the same if I didn't.
