Hi I'm Jacob

I'm a writer, I'm a gamer, I'm a musician, and I'm a Mormon

About Me

California born, Colorado raised, I'm the older brother of one sister. My family is very important to me, mostly because I grew up in a broken one. I was bounced around between foster homes for a good portion of my childhood, and that has taught me the importance of the family. I was a trombone player in my high schools marching and symphonic band. I love music and I enjoy the creative experience you get when you play. I like to sing as well, but those around me don't seem to enjoy it as much. (heh heh) I also write stories. The art of making a story, developing the characters, creating the landscape, making up all the rules is very exciting to me. Because of this, I enjoy experiencing the stories others make as well, in their various forms. I read many books, watch tons of movies, and play some great games. being able to watch the story progress and characters develop is just amazing. I'm currently serving a mission in the las vegas west mission and i'm loving it. the people here are great. the weather can be a challenge, especially in the summer, but it's still enjoyable.

Why I am a Mormon

I've come to understand that it is through this church and its teachings that I can be happy in my life. There was a period of time where I strayed away, and it was not an enjoyable time at all. When I came back, I found a purpose in my life. I came to understand that I had a father in heaven that loves and cares for me. I learned that my family could be brought together, and I could live with them for all time and eternity. I know that it is with these principles that I can raise my future family together, as a whole, and be happy.

How I live my faith

It has been through my faith that I"ve been able to overcome some of the difficult challenges in my life. I've learned to serve and support others, which can in turn help me. looking for others that are going through hard times and trying to help them has become my calling. as a missionary, I have opportunities all the time to improve the life's of those around me. I work everyday to share the message of this gospel, to tell people that Jesus Christ lives, and challenge them to make the changes in their life's to become happier.
