Hi I'm Gabriella

I'm the oldest of 5 children. I love music, being outside, and trying new things. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the oldest of five children, and I am a part of a wonderful family that I wouldn't trade for anything in the world. I love being outside, whether it's running through a forest, hiking trails up a mountain, or sitting somewhere and enjoying nature. I also really love music. I played the trumpet during high school, I've played the guitar for quite a while, and I am also enjoying learning to play the piano and organ. I like to sing as well, and I've discovered having anything to do with music can completely turn my day around, and I love seeing the joy music can bring to others. I enjoy making the most of any situation. Having a positive attitude makes the world so much brighter and I prefer to live life happily. I have a strong desire to travel, and to see as much of the world as I possibly can. I have a great love for other cultures and languages, I like diversity and learning about how other people around the world live differently than I do. And, I am currently preparing to serve a mission!

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the church all my life. I am very blessed to have been born into a family who were already members, and being raised in this gospel has been such a wonderful thing. Being a member of this church has brought me such joy. It has helped me more than I ever thought it could, and I know that it is true. At times when I have faced difficult situations and trials, I have seen God's hand in my life and I've been able to press on and make it through everything I needed to. Life isn't easy but I have such a strong testimony of enduring to the end, and as we recognize that we can have the strength to endure anything, we will learn so many things and be far better off. I know that I am so happy because I choose to follow Christ, and I really want everyone to feel this same happiness. I also have a testimony of faith and having trust in God. Putting my trust in someone that I can't see wasn't easy at first, but as I prayed to know what was true, I have felt His presence and I knew that what I was doing was right. Prayer is so wonderful and it has really helped me trust God and believe that I can do anything that He wants me to do. I am so grateful to be a member of this church and I know for a fact that as we all strive to improve ourselves and draw closer to God, He will be with us every step of the way and help us to overcome any obstacles that we have to face. I love this gospel and choosing to live it is the best decision I've ever made.

How I live my faith

I love helping others. Giving service has always been a passion of mine, and I find that it's easy for me to spread the gospel by being an example of Jesus Christ and serving others willingly. It makes me happy to see others being happy, and I love knowing that I'm doing something to help. One of my favourite scriptures is found in Alma 37:6-7, where it talks about how by small and simple things, great things are brought to pass. I have truly seen how this has been true in my life. Often, for me, the things that impact me the most are the small miracles that happen everyday. While to some it may not seem like much, looking back on my life it's what has made all the difference. Whether it's the kind words from someone at work, or a simple act of service from a friend, it brings me joy and helps me to maintain a positive attitude. I teach once a month at church, and this has really helped me step out of my comfort zone and learn new skills. I love teaching, and it's been such a blessing to have this calling. I also enjoy visiting teaching, because I am able to provide support and be a friend to girls close in age to me, and get to know others in a way that I otherwise wouldn't have been able to. Outside of church I try to tell others about what I believe and do missionary work whenever possible. I love spreading the gospel and I know that it can really bless the lives of everybody.
